Man Overboard

The night was calm, but the silence broke,
When the truth cut deep like a lightning stroke.
You turned your back, left me out in the storm,
Now I’m drowning in the place where love was warm.

I reach for the light, but the shadows remain,
Your memory pulls me down like chains.

Man overboard, I’m lost in the tide,
No lifeboat coming, no place to hide.
The waves keep crashing, I’m calling your name,
Man overboard, but you don’t feel the same.

Your ghost still lingers in every wave,
A thousand whispers I couldn’t save.
I fought for the dream, but the dream let go,
Now the undertow drags me where I don’t know.

I reach for the light, but the shadows remain,
Your memory pulls me down like chains.

Man overboard, I’m lost in the tide,
No lifeboat coming, no place to hide.
The waves keep crashing, I’m calling your name,
Man overboard, but you don’t feel the same.

I won’t surrender, I won’t give in,
Even if the storm pulls me under again.
If love’s a war, then I’ve lost the fight,
But I’ll scream to the heavens through the endless night.

Man overboard, I’m still alive,
No ocean can drown the will to survive.
Through the dark water, I’ll rise from the pain,
Man overboard—
But I’ll find land again.

The tide rolls on, the stars fade away,
But I’m still here, I’ll see the break of day.
